Ridden by his regular jockey Ellie McKenzie, owned by HH Sheikha Maryam Bint M Al Maktoum, held up towards rear, ridden 4f out, headway from 2f out, hung right over 1f out, ran on strongly inside final furlong, to finish fourth it was only his third ever run. A promising colt for the future. Also runing in this race was Ultimate Force ridden by Laura Pearson and Zayin Zachillies, ridden by Will Pettis, not fans of the ground they finished down the field, but home safe and sound.
Not the best day for us on Sunday it what turned out to be a very wet day, with the ground changing from good to soft, making it tough going for some. Having declared two non runners we were left with just 6 runners.
First to run was our three year old Stonehenge in only his second run. All experience for our young homebred; in touch in the early stages, he tired in the ground to finish 8th. Strongly fancied in the betting by the public he went from 25/1 to 6/1. He did win best turned out though!
Zayin Ankgor Centurion represented us in the Group 1 race under his regular jockey David Turner. Having his first race at this level he tracked the leaders, was ridden over 3f out, was outpaced over 2f out, weakened over 1f out. he now heads for the big Group 1 at Glorious Goodwood over his favored distance of 1m.
Forta Stud's Asraa Min AL Talqa was in the 0-105 Handicap over 1m4 furlongs, ridden for the first time by Jurico Bogaerts he chased the leaders until lost place under pressure 5f out, soon behind. Again ground paid a big part of the young colts performance.
