Stable star Zayin Angkor Centurion (pictured) heads our runners, bred by Zayin Arabian Stud and to be ridden by his regular jockey David Turner, he is declared for the Shadwell Dubai International Stakes - his first Group 1, over 10f.
Other declarations include our 3 year old, home bred by Peter and Michelle Hammersley, he will be ridden by professional jockey Pat Cosgrave in the Diar International Stakes , a Group 3 over 7 furlongs.
Also declared are two of Forta Studs' Arabians; Shammat Al Hosn to be ridden by Pat Cosgrave, she will be one of 7 runners declared for the UAE Embassy in London International Stakes over 10f. Asraa Min Al-Talqa will be partnered by Jimmy Quinn in the Rotana Hotels and Resort Premier Handicap Stakes over 12 furlongs, a race in which Forta Stud's Aurora Forta finished third last year.
In the last race of the day we have four runners. Won by the stable in the last two years, Zayin Zachilles, winner of this race in 2016, gets his ground in this 7 furlong Emirates NBD Handicap Stakes and will be partnered by Will Pettis who won on him last time out at Chelmsford. We also have running HH Sheikha Maryam Bint M Al Maktoum's Majid Bin Krayaan, winner last time out and to be ridden by Mike Palmer and his half brother Bin Al Reeh who will be partnered by regular jockey Ellie Mackenzie, second to Zayin Zachilles last time out at Chelmsford. Completing the line up is Ultimate Force, owned and bred by Heather Phillpott and ridden by her daughter Laura Pearson, second to Majid Bin Krayaan last time out at Chelmsford. Heather's mare Unity Belle won this race last year.
Good luck to all our horses and their owners and of course the jockeys. Let's hope its a bit cooler on Sunday and we get some much needed rain (before Sunday of course)
Free entry for all - its a great day out!
