Newbury 26 June 2018, Shammat Al Hosn finishes 6th

This was a prep/trial race for the mares and fillies 'Hatta' Group 1 on Dubai Day over the same trip of 1m 2f. Shammat had run well in the 'Zabeel' prep/trial race over 6f a fortnight ago showing plenty of speed. After leading at a very strong gallop for 7f, Shammat didn't quite see the 1m 2f trip out and we will look at dropping her back in trip again for the Dubai Day meeting. The race was won very impressively by the Athbah Stud owned and bred Shomoos Athbah. Congratulations to Phil Collington and all connections.
