Unity Belle wins on Dubai Day
Newbury 30 July 2017 - Dubai International Arabian Races
Unity Belle owned and bred by Heather Phillpott and ridden by David Turner made all to win the UAE Embassy Handicap Stakes, and in the process made it 3 wins from her last 4 runs. Always in command, our game mare stayed on strongly to finish a neck ahead of Tiger Lily. Shammat Al Hosn owned and bred by Forta Stud and ridden by Sam Lee ran very well to finish 5th in a big field of 19. Zayin Zachilles owned and bred by Zayin Arabian Stud and ridden by Matt Johnson, couldn't follow up his win in this race in 2016. The going this year was Soft, Heavy in places and was against Zayin Zachilles. His win in this race last year came on a Good to Firm surface.

Zayin Angkor Centurion owned and bred by Zayin Arabian Stud and ridden by David Turner finishes 2nd in the Emirates Premier Handicap Stakes. A fantastic run on his handicap debut and only his 4th career start. Zayin Zodiac owned and bred by Zayin Arabian Stud and ridden by John Fahy ran a sound race to finish in 6th place. Suleyman owned by Athbah Stud and ridden by Sam Hitchcott never travelled well on the very soft ground and was eased down once his chance was gone. He will now have a break as he has had a busy time in 2017.
Aurora Forta owned and bred by Forta Stud and ridden by David Turner maintained her fantastic Dubai Day record by finishing 3rd in the 1m 4f RODA Hotels and Resorts Premier Handicap Stakes. This is the fourth consecutive year that this wonderful mare has finished in the frame on Europe's premier Arabian raceday.
Asraa Min Al-Talqa owned and bred by Forta Stud and ridden by Will Pettis having only his second career start ran very creditably in the Emirates Equestrian Federation International Stakes. This was a Group 2 event for 3yo only. After being up with the pace early in a group of three on the far side, our colt tired in the closing stages to eventually finish 8th. This was a step up on his racecourse debut and all connections were pleased with his run.
