Chepstow 26 June 2017
We had three runners in this 0-70 Handicap Stakes run over a stiff straight mile at Chepstow. The ground was lightning quick which suited none of our three. The very fast time of 1m46.61 s. reflected the nature of the going. Shammat Al Hosn, ridden by Will Pettis, raced very keenly and after leading 2f out had no extra inside the last furlong and finished 6th btn 5l. She will improve for the run and is still a relatively inexperienced filly. Majid Bin Krayaan ridden by regular pilot Ellie Mackenzie, has been racing over longer trips and struggled to go the pace early but stayed on again at the end to finish 7th. Unity Belle showed blistering speed for the first half mile and led the field until the 3f pole, she faded inside the last quarter to finish 8th under Matt Johnson. This race didn't go our way, but all three are fine and we will look forward to their next races.
